The African Journal of Health Economics (AJHE) is an International Journal aimed at promoting and sustaining the knowledge, development, and application of health economics and health policy in Africa. AJHE is committed to making its publications widely accessible to people. AJHE is edited by Prof. Obinna Onwujekwe, supported by an International Editorial Board.

AJHE covers the following areas

• Economic analysis of health and healthcare

• Development of methodologies for health economics and policy analysis with a special interest in those relevant to the African setting.

• Health care provision, Health care financing, Equity and efficiency in service provision and delivery

• Public health policy and governance

• Determinants of health and their policy implications

• Valuation of health

• Development and evaluation of health systems and programs being carried out in Africa.

AJHE welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence in these subject areas, and will publish the following:

We invite you to submit your manuscripts to  ajhecon@gmail.com. Our objective is to inform authors of the initial decision on their manuscript(s) within eight weeks of submission.
